Well my mates a fully qualified mechanic and he's s**t hot

Just haven't asked him yet as hes not a turbo man working at Honda he's more on the v-tec side of things

But if it's something that achievable then were give it a go

Has anyone had to do this to there turbo or am I the first

Any ideas on price wise? Would it be something vw an supply or a turbo specialist..?

Which company's best to use?

Are you running a remap at all? If so I'd go in eBay and get a stage 1 rebuild kit and do the whole lot around £100 for turbines and oil seals this is I ly if that's the problem. I've watched a garret t30 turbo on a 16v 2.0 mk2 golf being done it was about 3 hours work for oil seals and the turbine etc. the hardest part on these engines is getting the turbos out because they're located in such an odd place.

Dont forget the main thing here is having to rebalance the shaft.

If you don't know what your doing you'll have to get a specialist to do it.

CR Turbos are a good shout.

Give them a call for prices.

I think I'll end up taking the turbo off and sending it away to cr turbos..

I just tried ringing them and the phone hung up straight away :s

And yes I'm remapped it's a custom remap and it's been tweaked with too as I got my exhaust and intercooler fitted after I got stage1

Yeah professional is your best bet especially if you're not confident doing it! Cr turbos or turbo dynamics. Explain to them what you're running and the symptoms!

Went to my local tuning company Storm developments in aldermaston

They rang up turbo dynamics and said they can do me a hybrid for a good price so I'm swaying that way now

Anyways car will be offf the road by Sunday hopefully and I'll make a start..

Storm are giving me a call tomorrow with prices etc..

Off the top of anyones head do you know a current price for S3 injectors? Also do you think I need to change manifold? Again prices and quality brands would be helpful

Thanks again guys I bet your sick of these stupid questions by now

Ha I have gone down this route and have my hybrid in the garage. Starting the work this weekend.
Usually pick up a set of injectors for about £100. You will also need a 3" MAF housing and 4bar fuel pump from a seat leon Cupra R. I would defo get an uprated manifold. The best in the market is the JBS one which I have all the others have been known to crack in the collector areas. Hope this helps.

For the extra whatever it is I may aswell do it hey

Umm maf ahh that's s**t cos only the other month I had to replace it :(

Injectors I've been told to buy brand new, which could be pricey haha

I'll have a look at those then..

What software you putting on the car once everything is done and what kinda figures you hoping for?

Yes from what I'm told you will be extremely happy with the hybrid. Although this will require another tweak to the map.

Regarding the MAF that's fine because you need to use your sensor in the 3" housing.

Injectors can be bought second hand (new is always best) and sent of for Ultrasonic Injector Cleaning. They renew all the bits that need renewing too. Have a look in goggle as there are plenty of company's offering this service. New injectors for a lot less the cost? Again this is what I have done but up to you.

Ahhh brilliant well storm said new injectors but if I can recon them for cheaper then I'm game

I've got custom software anyways so that should be too much trouble I hope..

I don't think it will be a quick turn around as I've got aload of things to shell out for this month but at work I've just had a pay rise so could be soon :) plus I just brought some more wheels

Wish I didn't as now i won't be able to use them for a month or so
