Not been on in a while just changed the setup on my air filter introduced a new reducer and an elbow and I recon it makes a world of difference !

It used to go horizontally from the intake but the flexie hose had to go all around the world my thinking behind the change was it would increase the airflow to the filter by removing the majority of restrictions and bends.

Looks alot neater that pal. I have the forge kit on mine and was going to do something very similar to what you've done. Could you tell me what size reduce and elbow you got, and where from pal? Cheers Nathan

Well its a 70-80mm reducer from the manifold had to punch a hole for the breather nipple . Then i Had to improvise a coupling between the reducer and the elbow so i got bored out some aluminium bar and turned it down to suit ! The elbow is an 80mm bore with a 150mm leg length but i cut it down reducer side to make the filter sit closer to the engine. Then it was just some flexie hose from the intake on the filter to the front of the grill ! Ive got a scoop for the grill but i worked out that it restricts the flow by 10cm squared so i just have the hose pushed against the grill it has lots of tention in so it seems to be holding in quite tight !

I got the pots off ebay mr silicone 25 quid all in free postage and it came the next day. I looked else were but sites live viper performance wanted 40quid and postage for what the bits do they dpnt need to be super high quality. So i opted for the cheap ones !

Just boxed off my rear badge rocking plasti dip

got a thread on the DIY section for anybody interested in doing this themselves.

http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... 10&t=58278

got my HID's hooked up and some new LED fog lights

DIY Guide to swaping fog bulbs
http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... 86#p457101

still struggling to get the HID's working properly though seems that some VCDS configuring is required
they come on in DRL mode when starting the car but this doesn't give enough voltage to the bulbs and makes them flicker
I've been told that this can damage the ballast's so before turning on the ignition im having to turn the lights to sidelight which is a pain
but i can live with it for now

apologise on the poor quality images only had my Ipod to hand

Looking good buddy, I was having the same problems you are with the DRLs and HIDs, I ended up just disabling low beam for DRLs and using the sidelights instead. So as soon as I start ignition only the sidelights, tail lights and number plate lights come on. I used this guide - https://www.youtube*.com/watch?v=o4VX1HeC-JU

Awesome man, bet you have a nice smile on your face when you press that right pedal now :D . Im looking at going stage 2 soon with mine, but with the forge intercooler to push it that little bit more. Whats your thoughts on the exhaust and stage 2 pal?

Had my turbo back milltek fitted at awesome couple of weeks ago, you will NOT be disappointed!! It sounds sublime and I found myself constantly in manual mode, take it above 4k revs, and changing gear just to hear that Blip from the exhaust 8) just need to pop back and get stage 2 when I've got some spare time :D I'd recommend the superpro lower engine bush as well fitted same time

Im very excited about getting it done can wait, after looking into it the mount sounds like a good idea
Have you removed your engine bay amp or left it in since you've got your exhaust now ? Im planning on taking it out ive heard that it dampens the cabin sound of the exhaust ? Im going to give it a try on and off !

The sound actuator thing? Took that off as soon as I knew it was there!! Sounds alot better imo, especially with the exhaust you will get the suction noise + supercharger wine + milltek blip = 8) I drove the 2 hours back home the whole way with the stereo off  engine mount is a good idea too!

to get to the sound actuator thing unless you have small hands expect to have a fair few scratches when done :/ its abit of a ball ache to get it unplugged but it will budge eventually!! The plug that's left I wrapped mine in a sealed bag with a cable tie and then same again and mounted it back in the clip :) il have a look for the guide that helped me and post back if I find it :wink

Yea I've looked on the same thread the video of it being switched on and off through the rev range just made me want to get rid of it !

I'm going to do a before and after with the cabin and the exhaust sound ! I'll get them up once its done !
