Found the leak after taking most of the passenger side trim and carpet off!

It's the passenger side sun roof drain hole - it's either disconnected or blocked.

The sun roof tray is filling up and failing to drain when its parked leaning towards the passenger side, the water then overflows the inner sunroof tray and runs down the a pillar ending up in the footwell.

Question is why is the hole not draining? I guess my next step is to take the wheel arch liner off and have a look at the end of the drain hole, I have tried putting a bicycle brake cable down it to try and unblock it with no success.

Try a compressed air line or welding wire. It's better suited :)

Airline - hmm not sure if I know anyone who has one. Tried using a track pump (high pressure bike pump) but could get the nozzle close to the hole as there is a pop up bar at the front of the sunroof which blocks access - any alternative ideas to an airline? Why specifically do you recommend welding wire?

Not really. Compressed air with a gun nozzle is the best way as it blasts out the line

Welding wire is strong yet thin so good for things like this. That's what the normal workshop recommendation is.
