no mods to engine yet apart from the exhaust and induction kit
wanting to get the head flowed and a remap and i should be happy, to spend any more money id be better off with a 20vt conversion which i still havent ruled out unfortunately mony is an object!
ive had the conversion done for about 8months now
pretty simple as everything slots into place without a problem
i hadnt heard of anybody else with it done
r they in scotland?
my car was a 1.6gl and ive had it for 2yrs now
cars looking good criz so does the engine bay
car must be quick and give peaple a surprise
i nearly bought a 1.416v but then a gti engine bcame available and chose route instead
reckon its putting out about 130bhp as i can beat a standard pologti although dont know if its got something to do with the weight of the cars or something else?

Yeh Im after a chip and s3 head. Thats all, should get me to 130-135bhp.
Currently sitting at about 118-120bhp.
I got a
BMC filter with a ram air intake
Full custom s/s exhaust with cat removed
Supersrpint 4-2-1 manifold
And ofcoarse allways running on optimax
The other guy with a 1.6 16v is called chicfrostie i believe and he mainly inhabits porka.net. Hes down in england somewhere.

A dastek unichip fitted and programmed by dastek in fife and an s3 head from hiflow heads in edinburgh.
Have heard good things from hiflow heads and especially the s3 head, doesnt give much more bhp but the torque increase is considerable.
Dastek chip is the best imo cos it is programmed to match your other mods and to give the best results.
Gonna stick the old 14's on with some 195/40 rubber on too when i get that done just for added fun
