Wow that's a really good price! I tend to get cheaper quotes on gti's actually which doesn't make sensebambaaaa wrote:my renewal is coming in at £800 on my gti with everything declared and i have 3 points and a total loss claim against me on 20 and 1 years ncb
That's really good! I've just turned 17 and still learning, if I got a quote now it came up to 3000! I found 1700 on a Austin Mini haha!jgw226 wrote:Thats a really good price.
I am 17 just passed and have my own insurance policy with LV for a 10 plate 1.2 Polo 3dr and mine was £2200 for a year. Thats as me as the policy holder and registered keeper! So hopefully should drop a lot after a years NCB!
Well I'm turning 18 in a few weeks and my insurance is going to drop by half. On my policy with me as the cars owner, it's £800 on admiral. I have 0 NCB, only 10 months as a named driver. Admiral/Elephant/Diamond are by far the cheapest as mentioned previously!jgw226 wrote:Thats a really good price.

When I was learning I did some insurance tests for an old Golf GTI and no company would insure me yet on a Ferrari Enzo I could get insured? It's messed up you really just have to play around with it and find a sensible car unfortunately. Cars like minis will be expensive because of the stereotypes.jammydodger wrote:That's really good! That's very strange. It's such a pain in the arse but what can you do...jgw226 wrote:It also depends a lot on where you live! There was a £450 difference between my dads postcode and my mums even though there is only a 12 mile difference and neither are "rough" areas!
There are so many different factors that affect it! It's just one of those things you gotta bight the bullet with!Match wrote:That's very strange.
