I've seen a few threads that say filling the boot lid with like loft insulation works a charm as it gets into all the gaps
What are your thoughts on that?
Its not a problem mate
Thanks for being nice about it lol
Na not worth it for the price it is, i work in a insulations company and most loft insulations is thermal, not acoustic
Ill be brutal with ya, buy that Silent coat or dont bother whatsoever, its worth the 40 quid and you wont regret it
Dont waste your time looking for a cheaper solution, its the dogs balls

Sounds good! putting the order through now
I've come to the realisation that the like voltage and db settings on the m650 make so much difference! like i connected one to each sub and the new alpine i bought is s*** LOL really disappointed. Paid 60 for that and only £36.76 + £14.00 postage & packaging for the M650!
Oh turns out my rip off power cap is broken so i'm in disputes with the ebay seller atm so should get my money back
Any pictures on where to deaden the boot, doors and boot lid by any chance? im sure theres some floating about I just can't seem to find them lol im guessing theres some in build threads, read through a few but no dice!
My boot builds getting there, need to bolt down and carpet everything
May update with some pictures tomorrow

Good lad

Just shows you its all in stats, and the M650 is more powerful

Haha that would be such a touch if you can get your money back for it, will pay for your sound deadening
I havent got any myself, just imagine when you take off the door cards and boot card, you wanna get the furthest down you can till your at the very back of the door so essentially your deadening the actual door metal, no voids etc, but the actual metal of the door? Does that make sense? If not say and ill try explaining another way
EDIT just found this epic pic on google
http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/news/wp ... 00x450.jpg
You wanna do both types, see how on the left side of the pic he has done right at the back
http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/news/wp ... 00x450.jpg
And on this pic he has "sealed it" over
Thats how you do it

No way they are a very average sub, not cheap crap but not high quality, get a decent amp running them and you will have ALOT of bass
In my opinion ...
Decent amp running both of them, decent box, 4 gauge wiring, done

Well its 4 gauge
and the amp is half decent

Got all signal wires down one side and power cables through the other

The carpets kind of match? anyone know where I can get like proper vw carpet by any chance

Put a fan in - needs a grill on top but the bottom where the amps are is completely sealed so i thought i better let the hot air out lol.
You can kind of see the high density foam i got there too (extra added deadening?) lol

Ummm so yes, the enclosure is s**t but i'm working on it lol

Ebay pic of thhe guy i bought it from
I was planning to use those two enclosures but they were leaking air and i haven't had a chance to check where from although I have carpeted them in the same colour as i have done the wood in the boot
Ive also soundproofed using silent coat (about 85%coverage) on the rear doors, under the back seat, the boot and boot lid
I was thinking about fiberglassing the whole thing.. thoughts?

Few updates:

Ripped the console out

Installed a double din

Thought id make things a bit neater

GPS and the ipod connections hidden away

all hidden

Dont really know what to do with this wire?

Wrapped the centre console

Changed the fan (Looks so much better)

All done minus the box (still needs changing)
So like - my front bonnet also vibrates, how on earth am i meant to soundproof that?!
