Good it works but not the neatest solution IMO! The official VW Bluetooth interface is what's really needed here for full integration but its expensive.

Not the neatest but certainly the cheapest! Do you need a highline cluster for the MFSW and a Bluetooth module to make it all work?

As the touch kit is fitted to most brand-new Polos, and no Polos have the MFSW as standard, and the highline dash is only in the BlueGT and the GTI, then no, you don't need anything to get the touch kit working.

I didn't mean the touch kit. I meant the fully integrated bluetooth system.

There are 2 kinds of integrated system- you can either have a basic system, which is the type that was fitted to the Ibiza and is currently fitted to the Amarok, which requires a MFSW (or that funny extra stalk in the Ibiza) or the proper 'Premium Bluetooth' system. The full system requires a highline dash cluster or a radio with a touchscreen (RCD510, RNS310, RNS510). It works better with a MFSW, but it's not vital. Seeing as it's tricky and expensive to fit a Polo with a MFSW if it's not from the factory, and fitting a new dash cluster is a right pain, I'd fit an RCD510 and the premium bluetooth, and if you're buying the car new then specify the MFSW too (the RCD510 is cheaper second-hand).

Well I've already fitted a rcd510. Do I just need the module now?

Yup. But obviously it won't display anything in the dash cluster, unless you've got a GTI or BlueGT. If you've got a petrol Polo you can fit the highline cluster from the BlueGT. The MFSW is doable, but not that easy, I think there's a guide on here somewhere.

I have an rline polo so I already have the right steering wheel.

If you've got an R-Line, you can put in the Highline dash cluster from the BlueGT and the MFSW buttons fairly easily, although the dash cluster will need coding and I've a feeling that you'll need to do some wiring for the MFSW. Someone on here did just that...

Hi guys
I fitted this with a pal at the weekend on my 1.2 TSI.
Dead simple. (As long as youve got some tools for taking the stereo off with and its surround without scratching the dash up)
Buy a 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo jack (approx 1meter ish)
The one end goes into the Bluetooth box behind the stereo unit (Into the A2DP/Aux in)
The other end goes into the aux in just behind the gearstick.
Works fine. You can forward, rewind, play, stop on bluetooth unit.
When a call comes in the music goes off, and when you hang up it comes back on again.
he only thing you dont get is the sing/playlist info on the Bury Bluetooth display or on the stereo, but I can live without all this for a cost of £0.99.
