Ah, wicked thanks, i thought he was talking rubbish too, lol..

Well I've got the wheels now.

They are totally covered in black brake dust.

What is the best way to clean alloy wheels and to get rid of the black brake dust.

Get some alloy wheel cleaner from halfords

Spray it on and let them soak for 5 mins and then work the cleaner in with a tooth brush

Rinse off and repeat till clean.

Also, the bolts I were given were rusty so I would like to use brand new bolts to put the alloy wheels on.

Now what information do I need to know when buying 16 Bolts (4 bolts per wheel)

and also 1 pack of 4 wheel lock nuts if i decide to use them.

Your best to get the bolts from a vw dealer or eBay specific for the 6N or 6n2 polo
