Is there a special name for it or is it simply "heater software upgrade"?

As far as I know, that's pretty much what it is called. I'm surprised nobody has come across it before as the chappie at the stealers said that it was quite common on Golfs and Polos - Hence why they do it

When i take mine in for a service, ill ask them to grab the dell and sort it out
