That's fine. Either put it into a catch can or stick a filter too it. Catch can is the most sensible approach if you have one.

Yeah I still have one fitted from before. Going to take it off give it a good clean and put it back on. Will I have any oil coming out of the crankcase breather?

You'll get some in vapour. If you've got a catch tank I would fit it.
