Ye I should be up for that too. I am up beside Aberdeen but would be able to travel down. So what are the thoughts for location and some rough dates?? Crail could be good fun

Has this fallen on it's face or are people still interested in doing something up here.
i think we should try and organise something, as our friends across the border get all the fun with the meetings going on down there.
I looked into the crail thing and it costs a packet to hire out (£3000) so we would need a lot of people to get that off the ground.
i was looking at some other sites and the clubgti site have arranged a meeting with a few other sites on 12th August at Braehead Glasgow(
http://www.clubgti.com/forum/forum_post ... 32201&PN=1), but we've not been included.
Does anyone know anyone on that site or are a member themselves to get us included or should we arrange to gate crash this one and hopefully get included in the future ones that are arranged (because our cars will impress that much)
Other than that they do a hot hatch day at Knockhill there one on 22nd August, don't know what it costs to get in (£40 to get on the track) but it's somewhere that we could meet up.
Come on we need to get something off the ground !!

As Criz said if we were to go to crail on a non magazine day (we wouldn't have to hire it out just pay an admission fee on the gate) then we could have a mini meet there and gauge how much response there would be for future meets. Plus we could always go up the track
So there are 3 definates, any others??

Hi Chris, I'm from urbanracing.co.uk and i'm the one responsible for putting the meet you mentioned together, not Club GTI.
The reason that this club hasn't been invited is because i do not know anything about you, for all i know it could be full of dickhe4ds that think a good car club meet involves booze, burnouts and fights. Car snobbery has nothing to do with it in case any of you think it does.
I'm shocked

at the "gate crash" statment that you made as this will definately get you and possibly the Club Gti removed from the list of clubs that we invite to future meets.
Is there a regional co-ordinator for this area? if there is could you email me?
[email protected]

Liam

Liam,
Sorry if my post offended you. The "gate crash" comment was meant to be taken as a joke, but i can see how it may have been taken wrong.
I just meant that maybe if we turned up, showed we were not a bunch of dickheads, we may get asked to go to any future meets.
As yet there have been no Scottish meets since i've been on this forum and i just thought it would be good to get something started.
Once again i'm sorry if i've caused any offence, i will word my posts more carefully in the future.
Regards
Chris
