GTi's get the kit for the heavier front axle only. 1.0 get the kit for the lighter axle only and all 1.4 can get either. That's according to the catalogue.

For my 1.4 16V i chose the one for the heavier axle.

alanjwong: All B12 kits come with B8 shocks.
B12 Pro = B8 + Eibach Pro Kit 30/30
B12 Sport = B8 + Eibach SportLine 30-35/45-50

With the 1.4 16V 100BHP, given its almost identical to the GTI block, the heavier axle is the right choice

Ive got it all upgraded with DPM Performance. Getting the heavier one and a full set off Bilstein dust covers.

TRiBaL, did you use the OE bump stops on yours?

I have been asking some friends if they have ever experienced this monotube type of suspension and I can't find anyone apart from you that has it. It must be quite a rare choice?

You are thinking too much about it mate. Go ahead and get them you won't regret it. It's the best suspension money can buy in the non coilover category.

I maybe thinking too much about it but mis advertsing is pretty bad in general

I have been in contact with Bilstein direct and they have confirmed to me that the monotube inverted suspension is not used on my car. I was really confused because on the DPM website it says it is in the kit.

Bilstein have said that the fronts use twin tube and the rears use monotube but not inverted.

Also on the Bilstein website it says B8 dampeners are monotube inverted. You cant even get twin tube B8 dampeners if you look on there site.

I think all the information that is everywhere is so misleading and not clear at all.

What is even odder is, the part number Bilstein gave me for the front struts 22-041364. Exclusively says they are monotube inverted.

@ Tribal & Alanjwong, You both have Eibach Pro Kit 30/30 on 6n2 ? I also have ProKit 30/30 on 6n2

Can You tell me what bump stops You use at rear and did You cut them ? I have 100mm like OEM and they are too long, car sitting/riding on them, need to cut them (in half). Do You have the same problem ?

I didn't made measures before/after, but I think rear axle droped more than declared -30mm. And rear progressive springs are very soft and sensitvie on weight. With 50kg load in boot, car sits as overloaded.
