how did you do the VCDS tweaks? did you use ross techs cable or other cable? any links to where i can buy one like yours? i been looking around for mods and tweaks already! without evening owning the car yet! haha

also how did you know the fuel pump was going? what was the signs ? thank you

I didn't use a genuine cable, I managed to get one for £40 that worked with version 12 of VCDS. I'll try find a link for you! Haha I was the same!

Well as I said before I had an older white GTI and once I got the newer one I noticed it wasn't pulling as strong after 4,000 rpm. Then it started stalling on cold starts and the choke was all over the place, ran diagnostics on VCDS and it came up with two fuelling faults. Running too lean on startup and running too rich at other times, shortly after that it started misfiring badly so it wen't back to VW for a new HPFP (high pressure fuel pump) and all components relating to that. It took a while to get the parts as its not a regular part to fail. After fitting the car was much better but still misfiring slightly so it went back and they identified one of the new components was faulty, swapped it out for my old one and its been fine ever since!

I'd definitely recommend a VCDS cable! The master technician even told me to keep scanning and let him know if I find any faults!

Just had a test drive today and picking it up wednesday! at start when driving it feels like there is a bit of lag when you put down ?

but might just be me when im test driving it! but anyway i will get used to that! but however i do love the look of the car!

If it's in S mode then it can lag a little depending on what the DSG box thinks you're going to do next. Best to drop a cog on the manual shifter then boot it.
