Hey, sorry to revive an old thread!BFleming1971 wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 2:41 pm Thread resurrection... I did the A1 seats into my son's 2010 Polo 6R recently. A couple of pointers:
The plugs for the airbags, seat belt stalks and occupancy sensor are all different. The airbag plug has the same wire colours, so I cut these off my old seats and soldered them to the new A1 seats - job done.
The driver's seat has seat belt stalk wiring only. Again, I cut the plug off the Polo seats and soldered it to the A1 seats.
The passenger seat also has an occupancy mat. The plug for the mat is combined together with the seat belt stalk on the Audi seats, but separate on the Polo seats. So again, I just cut the Polo wiring off, and soldered it to the A1 seats.
On the rear belts. The A1 only has 2 seats, the Polo 3, so I currently have a spare stalk sitting there. But I've ordered a lap belt from a Polo 9N which will be a straight fit, so I'll retain 3 rear seats.
Lastly, it's physically a straight fit, but the rear seat bases are different. The Polo seat base tilts up to fold the seats, but the A1 base is a static fitment. The fittings are different to the Polo fittings. Mine is just sitting there for now, but it seems to be holding there just fine.

Just done this swap myself and I do have to admit, I'm loving the comfort of the A1 seats.
However I do still need to wire in the Airbag, seatbelts and occupancy mat to the Polo wiring. I've tried looking at wiring diagrams side-by-side but end up just going bog-eyed.
As far as I'm aware from this thread, the Airbag is pretty straight forward. but I'm not sure how you combined the belt and occupancy mat, are you able to give an example or a picture of the wiring you've done?
