The only way to retrofit is buying a new radio-navigation unit with DAB module.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread.
I am looking to upgrade the standard fit RCD 310 in my 1.2 MODA. I havn't looked behind it yet to see if there is a DAB antenna plug but just want to know what is involved if there isn't and I opt for the RNS 510 instead.
Do I need to get anything done at a dealer in order to make the new head unit work? and can I just swap out my standard roof aerial to one of the options in an earlier post (links didn't work). If, however, the black plug is present, can i again just swap out standard roof aerial so dab will work and does anything need activating at a dealer?
