If you read that link above you might get an idea along with how I explained I did it in that seatcupra.net forum thread.

Edit:- first of all try to remember which spring is for which side, one is the mirror image of the other, next - the bend or crank in the spring is there to keep it clear of the lever bolt, finally the "blob" in the video is just the vibration damper that VW Group fitted to some cars, mainly the ones with the bigger engine, to stop "mooing" noises when reversing - I've never had that issue or fitted that "blob" to either of our Polos.
