Second sunglasses case - with the correct clips - arrived yesterday. I used a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the grab handle and then just pushed the case into place. Perfect fit, good quality. The only slight annoyance (first-world problem..?

) is that the return spring/damper isn't quite powerful enough, so I have to push it to close it properly.

I think that that was always a problem with these sunglasses holders, maybe less so when the cars had less padding on that area of the roof lining. Maybe not so much a problem if you had fitted the original one as you can get a small bit of movement due to the method of securing it - ie the car-side fixing floats in the slot.

I thought my previous posting covered how to (accidentally) avoid having the nuisance of the slow/lazy closure of a retro-fitted sunglasses holder?
