I remember once going into a local chemist shop and buying sunglasses in November/December - the sales assistant asked me why I was buying sunglasses in winter - I suggested that she tried driving in early morning or late afternoon when the sky was clear ! I like to see where I am driving to and not just squint my eyes and say "sorry I did not see you" when something bad happens!
