One thing I have noticed on the blue gt compared to my old polo is the clutch biting point on my old polo was roughly half way up the pedal but on blue gt it's right at the bottom of the pedal you only have to move the pedal a tiny amount and your off it does mean sitting at junctions waiting to go I have to make sure I keep the pedal fully to the floor. Is this normal with the blue gt?

It is nomal in cars with a new unworn clutch. Fair enough, the only reason I ask is that my last car was brand new aswell but like I say the bite on that clutch was halfway up the pedal and was still the same when I traded it in 6500 miles later

You're right on the clutch. I've always driven diesels before my Blue GT and the biting point is similar to a diesel. Having driven my wifes 1.2 Tsi and the new GTI, both have a much higher biting point that's more typical of a petrol.
