Hey LJ! You've prob already de-badged ur car by now but I done mine a few months ago and used t-cut to help with the faded paint.
Wasn't as noticeable after the t-cut (altho me being fussy I could still see it

) but after I washed the car a few times you'd never notice the difference!
Good luck with the modding!!

Has anyone heard of an offset VW logo? Keep the badge on the grille but place it to one side-I guess a bit like the Caddy vans have a rear badge on the one door. Would this look good or would it look carp?
seen a VW badge like that on mk3 golf didnt look to bad, i wouldnt call it carp more perch really!
reminds me of a joke.......
...there was a parrot sitting on a perch and a bloke walked into the room and said whats that bird doing sitting on that fish!

havent built up the courage to rip off the badges yet, maybe in the near future, just colour coding at the mo, grill, door handles.
another question - how are the bump strips attached? with adhesive or by other means, as im interested in colour coding these aswell

remem u will have a indent where the VW badge is. ull need to fill that and get it painted. then the number plate will look outa place. if ur after the fully smoothed boot then go for it as it looks v
i personally dont think its worth the hassle. i think "POLO" and the model numbers/letters would do

like the man says, tis a bodyshop job to take the badge of, best to leave it. i like it personally.
you can get black ones tho instead to make it a bit more subtle?
