Check no.2 10amp fuse to front washers as system is connected to wipers so if washers don't work neither will wipers

Thanks, when you mean number 2, isit the second fuse?
Isit the smaller ones or bigger ones?

I mentioned the motor because if the system was iced up (bearing in mind how iced up the system was?)
Activating the washers & motor could damage it , but hopefully it wernt severe iced up,

Weve all done it lol jumpin the car on very icy mornings
& tried to do the wipers n washers before allowing it to thaw out a little with the engine heat .

I hope this failure prompt others to make sure that the washer fluid has enough "anti freeze" qualities, ie stronger mix than summer, and to always check the wiper blades are free to move before switching on the wipers in winter time, and to make sure the wipers are switched off before switching the engine off at the end of every journey.

Due to the fragile/poor quality of the wipers stalk, I would never assume that if the rear wiper still works then the wiper stalk is okay!

I'd hope this just turns out to be a fuse failure caused by the wiper and/or washer fluid frozen up, might take a few days until the fluid de-frosts, depending where you live and where the car is kept when not being used.

Just checked a couple of fuses mentioned in the thread and no joy as of yet. Go in the car again in a few moments.

So guys, finally got a fix, In my polo 2012 the fuse for the washer and the front wipers is bottom far right, second fuse from the end. Small 10 Amp one. Thanks for all your help.
