Hi Santos.
Thanks for the report.
So, is your Beetle with original LED License Plate Lights?
Not yet .....
I'm waiting for the new led license plate lights ... Then I'll recode the 09 module

Hi again,
retrofitted done ... everything works perfect except one issue
When the ignition is ON and the headlamp switch is in the "0" position the DRL are activated ...
This only should occur in the "AUTO" position (DRL are activated in this position). I've cheked with my VW Sharan and with the ignition ON and the headlamp in "0" position DRL are not activated.

Hi Santos.
By law, DRLs must be turned on with the ignition switch ON, and 0 position of light switch.
It is
mandatory for several years now.
What is the manufacturing date of your VW Sharan?
Depending on the date of manufacture and the existing laws in each place/country, multiple combinations have been made in the electrical/electronic systems for the operation of the DRLs.

Yes, 2010-2011 are complex dates in terms of mandatory use of DRLs.
Everything changes, e.g. the fog lights that we all know now begin to be called bad weather lights.
The lightning is missing ... and the sound of thunder when the button is pressed/touched.

Hello manusjack
I found your entry on automatic lighting here.
I have a 2013 Beetle 5c with xenon lights, rain sensor, fog lights and LED number lighting and would very much like to retrofit the automatic lights. Unfortunately, I can no longer find a corresponding cable set from any retrofit supplier. Sold out everywhere.
Perhaps you, or a reader of my post, have a list with the manufacturer OEM numbers of all the required plugs and relays, so that I could almost certainly rebuild this myself.
Thanks for any help, from wherever (maybe Ciclo?)
Kind regards

Hi, I only provide help altruistically in case of incidents or coding.
Everything is written here in the forum, but scattered in countless posts.

Maybe some other forum user can make your PQ25 automatic lights wiring.

Hello Ciclo
Thanks for your reply, I'll start searching the forum.
If I can just find a manufacturer/seller for the necessary plugs, my biggest problem will be solved.
I always wish you a safe journey

The installation guide for AL wiring is in the first post of this thread, faithfully follow the diagram - at the end of the guide -.
E.g:
The red/black 10-pin coupling is an ISO connector, you can buy it in many well-known places (googling, etc).
Also here:
www.tme.eu (search in 4CARMEDIA), see applications, contact terminals, etc. on that same website.
The other connectors and relay support/carrier are original VW.
Buy from VW dealers or VW stores near where you live, they are also offered on well-known websites (googling, etc).
