Thank you for the images.

I understand that in the image of your fuse box you have removed the fuse SB34 .. is that correct? (the bolts that hold your fusebox too)
In your 6R (IND) fuses 57 and 58 are those designed to protect the electrical installation of the parking/side lights. In the BCM Max adaptation process it is necessary to slightly modify these electrical lines/wires for the new BCM Max to take control of the parking/side lights.
Currently the control of the parking/side lights on
your 6R (IND) is done by the light switch and this is not correct for automatic lights.

NO. The operation of your HB flash will continue as shown in the images when the light switch is in the 0 position when performing the adaptation of the BCM Max, because your aftermarket headlights are built that way. It is not entirely wrong but it is not the right way.
I imagine (but not absolutely true) that if you keep the light switch in the AUTO position (99% of the time) your HB flash will work in full illumination even though the lights are off ... this is what I meant.
You must bear in mind that your
aftermarket headlights are not 100% perfect.
That is, they do not have a 100% original operation.

About the DRLs and what you have seen in other cars.
Those cars in which their 'DRLs' light up when turning the light switch to a position other than '0' are not legal under any circumstances.
Either because they installed aftermarket headlights with incorrect electrical installation or the headlights are not designed for DRL function even though they have a nice and bright LED module.
As I told you, the daytime running light function should only work with the light switch in position 0. This is what is legally established in Europe.
I do not know (or rather it does not concern me) what is the legislation for DRLs in the Rest of the World...
It is logical that you have doubts about DRLs because
many aftermarket headlights have been manufactured incorrectly or they have not been installed correctly. (not your case when it comes to DRLs in your aftermarket headlights)
When you turn the ignition key the electric power reaches the headlight to be used depending on what you decide on the light switch, but in the case of your aftermarket headlights, they take the lead and decide to use that power for your DRLs.

CH/LH with BCM Max only work in low light conditions. They can work with headlights or fog lights, with the fog lights the DRLs are also illuminated.

edit... to clarify ...
You must forget or remove from your mind, that the LED modules or LEDs of your artermarket headlights are only and exclusively DRLs. You must call them LED modules. These leds or leds modules have several functions as I already mentioned in previous post.
