So interestingly I had another 2016 CJZD at my house last Friday with a milkshake oil problem. While trying to help I decided to take a look at the oil sensor it had. Once again, oil sensor fitted but no wiring. Definitely seems that's how they did they down here.
Poor owner of that car though. She'd just had the headgasket done and collected the car last Wednesday. By Friday the gasket had gone again, it was consuming all coolant, and the oil was messed up. But the head cover on that engine didn't look like it was touched and I didn't even see any witness markets on the top bolts. She had just paid 1,400BGP to have that job "done".
