No.
It goes between that glovebox unit and the display.
It takes over the display and signals between the display and the main unit.
You get to keep your factory unit and have AndroidAuto or CarPlay.
It's been on my AliExpress wishlist for the past few months while I try and hack an upgraded headunit into my 6C.
Going to be a while before I can afford that, but I have enough battles on my hands trying to upgrade my current headunit.
You can also look for another 6C that had a AndroidAuto/CarPlay capable unit at breaker/junkyard and then get that adapted to your car.
I don't recall part numbers for those models though, but that's the way to go if you really want to keep it all OEM.
Not sure if all the SatNav capable units were CarPlay/AndroidAuto capable.
I know of only 1 other aftermarket headunit that fully integrates into the OEM system (all functions working), but that's from Alpine and last I saw it was up there at 800-1000GBP.
