Thank you all for the nice comments- Just been working in Kent for two days and the fuel economy there and back was much improved after having in cruise most of the way..
Once we have some consistant weather- i'll finish the detail, take some good shots. I have always thought of doing some interiro upgrades- but i'll leave some plans undercover for now
Would like to get some legal pressed plates and the bumper resprayed

Awesome car man, just read the whole lot very impressed, not so much it's nearly 2am!
Just a quick question, stupid as it may sound, the red surround you have on your grille?
Where do you get it? I brought one off eBay and it's the thinnest tube ever and can hardly be seen! Yours looks awesome?
Cheers bro, keep up the good work
Paul

Hi Paul, cheers for the comments. With the red surround: i bought mine off ebay too. However i found they tend to fade after a while, so i sprayed mine with halfords high temperature red paint, along with a few coats of laquer. It keeps it nice and red for ages and if you paint your calipers with the same paint it matches perfectly

I superglued mine to the grill section by section.

Sweet man, thanks for the advice!
Not sure what you mean? Glued it bit by bit?
But I'll try spray it a few times and then see what I can manage! Cheers bro

Its such alot of effort but worth it! Especially if your paintwork was as bad as mine which i doubt Nigel

Looking soooooooooo good!
And loving the colour coded rear badge!! Looks spot on! Really like it
I've been tempted before to do it to mine, but not sure if it works as well with silver :/

That one bottle lasted the whole car ?. Did you machine it or use a cloth and some good ol' elbow grease ?.

Have to say the picture does the badge too much justice lol
Well i still have bottoms of doors, passenger side rear quarter and roof to go and about half left. So i reckon I'll have a bit to spare when it's finished.
I'm using a Kestrel Dual action polisher ive had for a few years- only way to go
My technique is basically:
Clay car
Mezerna FG500, compounding pad.
Mezerna final finish, polishing pad
Finishing pad with poorboys black hole
collinite/ purple haze
