Andy, your car is very smart! Puts mine (same colour as yours) to shame so will need to get the chamois out this weekend. Have even ordered some wax to do a proper job rather than the cheepo turtle wax I usually use. What's going on?

Re media system.
Static pop from one speaker when changing functions . Speakers start at the rear and after ten seconds eventually fire up the front speakers. Had a firmware update but problem persists.
Dink has had the same troubles.
Andy .. your car is looking great! Think we're all pleased you finally got your hands on it.

Handling spot on, and ride its pretty comfortable in normal mode. Sport mode does firm up but still tolerable, and steering is more direct . More exhaust noise is fun too. Not reset my mpg so includes when dealer had running in workshop etc, arrived home with the average at 37 which I thinks pretty damn good for new motor. Have noticed in full sun a few swirls inflicted buy the dealer but plan to polish myself with D.A machine I have and put some wax over the top so not gonna beat myself up that they have slightly marked my lovely paintwork lol. Overall, well impressed.
Glad to hear that you're enjoying it. I couldn't imagine the sense of anti-climax if you didn't!!

Re. Media problem. It may just have been a bad batch. Dont think all new owners are reporting issues with it.

No problems with the media system so far so could just be a bad batch as you say.

Mmmmm...
Having problem with my Composition Media System.
I first notice a problem with no volume on the Media input when I was driving the car from its collection in Glasgow last week. It worked fine on the radio channel, but was silent on Media, by both Bluetooth and USB. Then after switching about between modes, it suddenly sprang into life. Then this morning it did the same.
Also with phone calls, it works ok dialling out, but I've now tested it with calls coming in, and there is no volume at all both ways. Not even any background noise. I actually think it's an incoming call that seems to trigger the no-volume problem on the Media input. (I use an iPhone 6 so there shouldn't be any compatibility issues, and the phone works fine in my Merc)
These issues don't seem the same as the problems others are having with 'the bad batch', or are they?
I'm also disappointed that I can't connect to Car-Net. I know that (since mine was on a dealer pre-order) I didn't get chance to select the £100 option. However lots of the VW data on their web site suggests all MIB2 Composition Media Systems are compatible with Car-Net to some level of service.

No , my problems that I've mentioned seem different to yours. My advice though is take it in and get it checked. Like me you could be due a replacement unit if problems persist.
Various things going on with these units obviously.
Just to add . I'm also having a window rubber replaced as there is a bad squeak when raising and lowering the glass.

That is very smart. Is that solid or oryx white? Gave mine a polish this weekend but I don't think the photo does it justice! Perhaps not got the hang of this detailing lark. Also photo bombed by my dog.
