What's the best way of demisting the rear windows - not the windscreen? They don't appear to have a fan on them at all so do you just have to wait for them to clear naturally as you're driving...?

Normally just putting the aircon on auto will take the moisture out the air and demist them quite quickly. I have my aircon all the time :P Works a treat.

I'm pleasantly surprised how quick the car gets warm from cold, had to turn the heater down this mornin lol. Also love the lights, very bright. Got a slight squeak from the brakes when coming to a halt at very low speed, especially in reverse. Hopfully just gotta wear in or something

Well I have my GTI back, however despite having a new media system installed I find the problem persists. Changing functions can cause a pop through the one front speaker. Music starts in the rear speakers and eventually the front speakers join in. Not good.
The dealership also had to do a firmware update for the aircon.

I'm still thinking there is a design flaw in the early units in the gti as it must be different for there not to have the ability to upgrade to car-net options

What I find staggering is that I walked away from the dealership with the paperwork saying a new unit had been fitted and that they hadn't spotted the problem was still there. Ffs.

I also get the speaker pop John...haven't really had and issues with the speakers fading from rear to front though unless I've just not noticed yet.
