Well, my wife's Polo was offloaded from the "African Highway" at Sheerness on Saturday evening so hopefully in a couple of weeks, she will be taking delivery.
Dealer rang this morning to advise reg number. Seems you don't get a choise out of the batch allocated to the dealer these days ?
Total time from placing order to delivery will be just under 5 months, I reckon.

A couple of weeks? I'd say 1 week max depending on how far away from sheerness your dealer is and you do at some places still

Does anyone know how long the dealer has the car for (approximately) as I'm yet to hear from mine and the car should have arrived in the UK on Monday or Tuesday. I did get two more stage 6 texts this morning however

Very happy. I now know why you cant have the winter pack and Alcantara - the Alcantara seats are heated. Massive win.

FYI - the manual says less than 2/3rds max RPM and not flat out for the first 1000km.

Hi there, just joined the group and spotted your post. In answer to your question, yes, me (with quite a few others I suspect). I ordered a TSI SE 90 PS in Carmen Red on 14 November. Still 'With Factory' on the Tracker, I took the advice of another postee and have just given VW a call. Good service. A short wait then a nice gentleman advised me of a build week 10 "but could go 3 weeks either way". I'm a bit disappointed over what seems to be an abnormally long time. I understand the 5-door is built in South Africa and know that in common with every other large company all builds are done on a 'Just in Time' basis but notwithstanding everything I feel the wait is still too long. It'll probably be mid-April before I get my sticky fingers on the keys. But hey, on reflection I guess a 4- month wait isn't too bad considering I'll be getting exactly what I want. Added specs are Navigation sat-nav, tinted windows, Active Cruise Control, Light and Sight, and folding mirrors. If I didn't want any of those and could handle a white or grey one I could be driving one already - but all things considered, forget what I said at the beginning of this post, I'm happy to be getting exactly what I want, despite the wait! Just hope it'll be worth it ... Kind regards to all out there.

Just ordered a 1.2 TSI SEL with Discover Navigation and Light & Sight pack this lunchtime. I've been told it will be June at the earliest

It's in the UK!!!

@doc_house I called CS Tuesday and mine was on a ship and he said would dock that day yet I had a email today saying it was in the uk so I think the tracker is 2 days behind I'm expecting mine at the latest next Thursday

Sound advice. Pix asap, please! As delivery date nears (end of the month), the wait is becoming more & more difficult

Talked with my dealer and the car arrived at the dealership today! Likely going to pick it up next weekend as they need a little more time to get the paperwork sorted.

As Bertone mentioned, registration numbers seem to be assigned rather than chosen as I was also given mine today. I remember my parents always choosing theirs in the past, but maybe things have changed.

@tankmontana did you mean this weekend? And did yours arrive on the Tuesday too? When I had my last finance car 1 year ago now changing up I was offered the choice from about 8 or 9 reg's and was told I would this time aswell I think it depends on if the dealer can be arsed

@Jamesbluegt - The 17th is the day currently pencilled in.

The reg I was given is quite memorable so it's not a biggy for me, although a choice would have been nice. I think it was required to have one now for the paperwork, but I'm not sure.

I didn't ask the day but I received the stage 6 text Tuesday morning so I think it must have arrived on the ship that docked on the 3rd.

Any news on yours?
