iichel wrote: Sat Jun 16, 2018 7:36 pm The german basically says:

wires or wire ?

Code: Select all

mitgeliefertes
“ein......Kabel”
so it should be single wire.

btw. i think i bought the same AFS wiring from the same seller last time. As the wiring is made for LHD. i have to take out the terminal pins from the 26pin afs connector and switch the position from LHD to RHD, for one reason:
1) the length of wires provided is of coz opposite for Left and Right.

So the right one is .... https://www.ebay.com/itm/VW-Polo-V-6R-X ... xylpNTRTVy
Yes, but the item from tuning fanatics shop will get you the exact same wiring. But they don't have the correct photo in their advertisement (they also write this in their description).

it may not bring any harm with the LHD or RHD as our bixenon leveling is just up & down, so it will still work. correct me if i’m wrong: but as there is adaptation settings to manually offset the motor position of each headlight, i believe it is necessary to correct that so the AFS module knows exactly the left and right headlight.

I don't think it makes a difference, in ELSA there are no different wirings for left and right hand drive with respect to the AFS wiring.
I'd connect the headlights for a RHD polo the same way as a LHD.

The cable you show I think belongs to the ABS sensor/rpm y and obviously the grommet is not the same as this,

Searching in ETKA:

If I select the Polo made in Europe this is the result,

If I select the Polo made in India this is the result,

Therefore, you must find another place to route the wires for AFS sensor.

I don't know if anyone in India did this work in its Polo 6R.
I think iichel used another route for the AFS sensor wires in his 6R.

Yep the same here. I just punched through it and sealed it against water.
