The ventilation capacity of the headlights is limited.
I already fixed it.
I removed the light fixture, dried it, and reinstalled it.
Probably a rubber cap, it wasn't very well placed and water got in from there.
I'll keep a close eye on it.

When i retrofit the RLS sensor, i bought a light switch (from Ali) made for Golf.
It fits perfectly and works fine, but..... it has white lighting.

I knew this when I bought it, it was just a really good price. I tried changing the white LEDs to red ones, but the lighting was very weak, even though I expected the opposite (because red LEDs need lower voltage.)
I'm thinking of painting the white LEDs red with special paint from a model shop.
Any other ideas?

This is definitely a safe choice.
I like to experiment and create, as with most DIYs. However, IF I can't do the red color change myself, then I will probably choose to buy a used regular switch.

#Gear lever leather

The leather on the gear lever had been worn out for a while. In fact, it had been like this since I bought the car.

Image

I decided to buy one of these from Aliexpress
I found this for 7 euros.

The change happened today within about an hour.

Removing the lever.

On the left is the new one from China, on the right is the old one.

I could have placed it like this, but I preferred to use the original base, I liked the color of the nickel better.
So I removed the bases and adapted the old base with the new leather.

Place in place, tighten the clamp and you're done.

Yep,
this is also an alternative. Right now the switch I have is working fine, so I'm in no hurry to replace it.

I read the posts you deleted.🤷‍♂️

The remotes/keys must be matched via ONline connection on both units, both IC and BCM. If I'm not mistaken, on the 6C both are part of the IMMO.
Did you use the guided function?

It is not a good idea to install both at the same time, but step by step, IMHO it is better to do the installation separately to avoid conflicts with VW servers and to be clear about what is happening in case of problems.

Apart from the codings, the adaptations of the units must also be transferred from the old units, and even then it is possible that you have some faults due to the new software of the new units. The reported faults are solved by coding and adaptation according to the vehicle equipment.... the usual thing that an experienced user like you already knows.

Hello Fernando, this post is obviously for another thread. It would be good to move it to the correct thread so that the right person can read it.

I don't know which thread, but I haven't had any problems with my car keys in a long time. So I thought this post is for another thread.

Hello,
I bought a pair of these lights 3 months ago that replace the rear bumper reflectors. From the well-known Chinese store.

Image
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006 ... 180275C9tP

They piqued my curiosity when I saw them on the internet and bought them. I haven't decided yet whether I want to put them on or not. My concern is that the red reflective elements are also a safety feature and I wouldn't want to cancel them. On the other hand, these lights look very nice and can be connected in 3 ways. Either as a running light, or as a brake light, or as a dynamic turn signal, or of course in any combination of these three.
What is your opinion ?
