I just have a small question- I'll pick up a Golf 7 R steering Wheel at the Weekend, and i want to retrofit it into my Polo 6R. My Polo hasn't any Multifunction Wheel yet, but the new Wheel has it  Can you tell me, what i have to do? I have a 2011 (B) TDI, with a "big" BCM (i have Xenon, for example).

Thanks, Chris 8)
You are getting a Golf R steering wheel for a Polo TDI?...  :|

congrats on 120.000 views on your topic.

the golf 7 r steering wheel is very nice to hold. so why not. for the lights you need a 7e0 bcm. for cruise control also some wiring i think. but i'm not sure.
but all functions from the buttons will work

Isn't the lighting on the Golfs white while it's red on the Polos though?

Just read through that thread that Ciclo posted about the new systems on the Golf 5 forum. At the end, there was this unit. Looks interesting!

You need to upgrade the BCM to one from a T6 Transporter for it to work.

Oh? Any more information on them? It says for PQ platform vehicles in the link, that's all.

wrecksigge wrote:Hi ciclo!

Just curious, how come you have the separate engine temperature and fuel meter in your dashboard? Havent seen any 6R 1.2 TSI 90 here that got it. Have you replaced the whole dashboard aswell or is it an option from the manufacturer when you buy the car?
Hi wrecksigge. My current instrument cluster was not factory installed as optional equipment (it was never possible). I bought a new instrument cluster with ref. 6R0 920 870 C which is used by the BlueGT and then was installed at my vw dealership because it is necessary to adapt keys and some parameters (guided function with diagnostic tool).

Nothing happened...
This is very important to know because I did every possible test with mirror-camera 1K8 except change the channel 53.
Now, we already know that is not supported in any way ...

Hi Chris.

First this (communication and power supply): viewtopic.php?f=10&t=54171#p421709
Power supply better from fusebox (SB4 2Amp, in your case), more easy, more oem...

About lighting of buttons, a new BCM as iichel said. (software)
... show us a pic your new steering wheel, to tell you if you need additional wires. (better here: ThueringerVR5 Image)

What is your current BCM?

Congrats for the HBA! :D

Will you do the dash all in leather or that part only? Looking forward to see it. :)

Only the part (small detail), with the whole dashboard it would seem Audi. :)
