Nice one! I did mine a few months ago and the plastic had fractured on the tensioner but had not come apart like yours. Lucky the belt stayed on  Cars looking good though dude

POD - The Lovable GTi - Boot Build Plans!

Post by KPerryGTi »

So, few things to report... the front left wheel is rubbing horrendously! lol and also the springs are twanging but I'm working on fixing that...

Also today I have bought a new sub and have recently acquired another amp... So I have bought some materials to put it all together, thing is I need to keep my boot free for the pizzas I deliver as I put them in there to keep the smell out of the front! Sooo I will be running Front door, back door and tweeters from the head unit, 12" JBL sub off of one amp and 2 FLI 6x9s off another... bought all the cables splitters and power cap etc to fit, now just need to do it haha

You'll be rubbing due to the 25mm spacers cos I rub bad with 15mm spacers.

What you mean springs are twanging?

When I turn the wheel, sticking on the top mount and then releasing resulting in a massive twang lol will sort it tomorrow... yeah only rubs on near to full lock lol

Well least you know you can sort it :-) mine only rubs going through dips which cause it to drop and hit the tyres but I'm ok on full lock

No way!! That's a pisstake! Make sure you have a good moan at them about it!
Where did you get them from??

On the upside least it happened now while still under warranty and at least it didn't fail completely

Lol deffinatly a good moan is needed! did it through a seller on ebay but he still offers a 2 year warranty lol gotta go take them off (AGAIN!) and take a pic... then they should replace it... front left side is hanging really low and there is fluid all over the shock and springs haha
