The seat on the 3 door doesn't usually stay forward when lifted. It is like this on all 3 door 6R/6C Polos. That isn't poor build, that is the norm I'm afraid!
And the wiper blade thing is also how it is on all new VW's. It stops the wiper getting in the way, reducing drag and making it look far tidier and classier imo.
With the condensation with air-con, the air-con just needed to be blasted out for a while to clear itself out and 'dry itself'. It is probably because the car has been sat for a long time, closed up on a boat and in a cold, damp in the shipyard and at dealers etc.
Shame you rejected as they are great cars.

Not a GTI but my brother has just bought himself a new polo, picks it up next weekend. I'm like it's not fair, in the month since I ordered mine you'll have bought yours and be driving it and mine still won't even have been built.

It was a little bit wet today and I wanted to try how the car handles rapid acceleration from low speed. Short version: after flooring the pedal on 2nd the ESC went crazy with braking the wheels, I didn't expect such violent reaction ;)

Had problems with voice activation today. The commands I gave were understood but the female voice back sounded like it was under water. Also like a crackly telephone line. Did it for quite sometime. Ffs something else to keep an eye on it seems.

I've done 1200 miles in mine now, still really enjoying it. I've had the squeaking that appears to be quite common and the speaker pops occasionally the first time switching between Media and Radio after switching the engine on but more often than not it doesn't do it. I'll mention both to VW when it goes in for its 6 week check up (which I'm will be a bit later, 10 week check up maybe).

The wheels are scheduled to be reconditioned on the 9th December, still seething about that b@stard lorry driver.

This 6 week check up? I've had it on other cars but was not mentioned on this one, will dealer inform me or should I get into them about it, its a good idea I think

From my point of view 1000 miles in - mine has been spot on! Brakes bedded in nicely now and squeek disappeared. VW Nav working well, speakers don't seem to loose signal, Bluetooth audio and USB are great with no pop. With the reversing camera. I sometimes get the number plate and sometimes dont could be some water on the lens? Doesn't worry me though and not going to flag it as I didn't order it in the first place! Love the engine and just love the car in general. Same, dealer hasn't mentioned about the 6 weeks check up. Could this differ from dealer to dealer?

Mine has started with a high pitched, rubbery, squeaking noise from the steering wheel. It happens when you steer slightly in either direction and is more noticeable at lower speed. It's insanely annoying.

This is in additional to the rattle that also comes from the steering wheel area.

It's easier to ask than to go downstairs to the garage, our tyre size is 215/40/17, right?
