Does anyone know why Glovis spring is now heading to Bremerhaven from Emden. I am just guessing it is carrying cars ? I thought from Emden it was straight over to UK ??

Car gets off at Emden and then put onto another ship bound for the UK.

Our new polo in the showroom today (ordered Jan 18, build week 18/2/19. Went to pick it up and DVLA website down so they couldn’t tax it, what next! Wife flew away with work. Going to accumulate other people’s fingerprints for a few days whilst she is away assuming DVLA site gets sorted :-(

Damn! Those look like Bridgestone Turanzas - was hoping that VW had ran out of those for when the missus' GTI+ was built - another set of Michelins I'll gave yo gork out for.

If things go as per that car (for delivery), our white one should be 4 or 5 weeks away. Golf R is going on Weds, so we'll be down to 1 car for a month or so.

Tell the dealer to either put it out of the way of other customers or put a “do not touch” notice on it

Finally got an update today - my car is due in Emden on 13/04. Customer service say once there it can take 15 working days to be loaded onto a ship and then once it’s arrived in the UK it can take 7-10 working days to reach the dealer.

Can anyone who’s received theirs tell me roughly how long it took from Emden to being in their hands? How long is the journey to the UK? Mine will be going to Sheerness.

I’ve just looked at the tracker text messages I received last month.

My car arrived in Emden on Sunday 10th March.

It left Emden for Sheerness on Thursday 14th March and arrived in Sheerness late on Friday 15th March.

It arrived at the dealer on Wednesday 20th March and was ready for me to collect 48 hours later (Friday 22nd).

So it was only 12 days from arriving in Emden until I collected it. I think they’re giving you a worst case scenario and you should hopefully have the car by the end of the month.

Phew!! slight relief to read Martin-GTi's comment about it perhaps being a worst case scenario?? I bloody hope so? I have my fingers crossed the lights of mine should be seen soon in that long tunnel? was built wk 11 and tracker been saying "in transit" for 3 weeks now. It will be 13months I been waiting for this dam car.

Looked a bit closer at the details of the Glovis Crown and it is heading for Vigo in Spain.
Seems a little unusual.

The Glovis Spring did the same. It went to Emden after Vigo which took about 4 days.

So that takes us to the 18th April as the 14th is expected arrival at Vigo.

Good grief.
