Nearly time to give mine it's first wash, literally will just be getting Smart wheels on the alloys and a snowfoam though.

So here's my Polo. Picked her up last Tuesday night. This is my first VW, came from an 11 month old Fiesta ST. Ideally going to be looking for an induction kit and possibly a remap once I've done a couple of thousand miles, where's the best place to check? Also looking for Climair wind deflectors if any one knows the best place for them? Don't want Heko's as I don't really rate them.

Question is do you prefer it to the ST?

I honestly don't know. Both have their pro's and con's, the ST felt super quick and even though on paper the Polo is quicker it just doesn't seem it the way the power is delivered. The Polo also condensates up to hell on startup, and then the rear windows steam up while driving and with no one bar me in the car. It's definitely a better build quality, however a better car I'm still not too sure to be honest.

Perhaps more time for you to try out the Polo? I'm just trying to find someone who likes the Polo better to make me feel I made the right choice - sad but true! Also cleaned mine today and it does look very good. I think the dash lay out isn't great in the ST compared to the Polo but I suspect the ST drives a bit better though based on my limited time with the ST. I agree about the condensation which is a VW problem. I won't trade in though as I will lose money and I wouldn't get this past my wife!

Maybe, however I'm also trying to convince myself that I've made the right choice. The interior on the Polo is far better, the ST is nice but pretty basic. Hopefully once the roads dry up a bit and I've got some more miles I'll start driving it the way I drove the ST and get a better comparison.

Shame we can't all have a go in one another's cars to see the difference perceived or otherwise.
All I can say is my DSG will sport button pressed becomes a right pocket rocket. As well as everything tightening up the gear change is so rapid. Revving away as it changes down it would be a recipe to lose my licence if I wasn't careful. ;)

To anyone else having condesation issues, I discovered that I had left the heater vents closed (ones aiming at passenger) since I collected, since opening I've had no condensation at all.

Karlcee wrote:Hi guys been looking into springs for the polo, I'm hopefully opting for some kW v1 coilovers as they will also include, KW's own warning cancellation kit to enable you to remove the factory adaptive damping. Providing funding allows anyways. I'm tempted to just get springs but I'm worried the ride will be too crashy. Just got some team heko wind deflectors over Christmas, think they really do suit the car as they carry on the look of the tinted back window. Will have to grab a picture and put it up!
Fitted some H&R 20/30mm springs today and they're not crashy at all, over some surfaces I think the ride has actually improved.

It is definitely firmer but the ride actually seems smoother in general.

Anybody do the VW online survey thru Swift Research. Was done by answering questions online over 4 days with the promise of 40 quid Amazon voucher at the end. Had email off them saying voucher was bein processed but nothing else

Here are some before and after pics of the 20/30mm H&R lowering springs. Not a huge difference but definitely noticeable and I much prefer the look now. Apparently they may settle a little lower over the next few days but probably won't be a noticeable difference. ImageImage

Definitely a noticeable difference. What option did u go for as I notice there are two different weights listed? I assume I go for the heavier option as its a bigger engine and has a dsg box?
