Can you tell me more about this? :)
The pin T73b/7 (58 terminal) can be used as a signal to the relay for permanent ambient lights.
In your case to the existing wire.

In 7H0 BCM there were some pins in BCM black connector for this use, but I think they were eliminated. (I have to check)

Edit

PS: also was playing with the VCP but so far I have not had any good experience with this tool ... :?
Too much money to not even have a guide for use in English, as it is sold all over the world. However they have a forum in German, all my best respect to the Germans but it is something strange when somebody sells something worldwide.
Yes. The German do that. The Japanese do that. The chinese do that as well. Hehehe

Btw, throw here anything u need. Im might be able to translate.

Ciclo, can the VCP do more compared to vcds? Or its like ODiS? Can we change Instrument Cluster/key programming using VCP?

Many thanks iichel 8)

I'll try to Explain it better:

The VCP can be configured in all languages, but the problem is that it is not as intuitive as is the VCDS. You have to click too many times to get what you want to do.
On the other hand it has very powerful features, but they also are very dangerous if you do not know what you are doing.

In short, a basic guide to learn the basics of its operation in English would be a good idea.

I think it's possible (I'm not sure) but still do not know how to do it with this tool ...

As for which tool is better:
Currently I can better handle the VCDS program but I think the VCP has great potential. In favor of VCDS at this time it is the big experience that Ross-tech have in these matters and the broad global community that uses it.
I still do not have the ODIS program.

In any case my opinion is irrelevant because I'm newbie in this issues.

Once checked:

This is the pin that was used in the VW Transporter for lighting in door sills: (now eliminated)

After, all interior lights (including those for door sills) go through the pins:

And now the following pins (and a possible relay) are used for interior lights and ambient lights:

Hello Ciclo,

I have a question to the HBA assist do you think it would work in Roomster when the BCM and stalks are changed of course mirror with camera needs to be added as well...
I have done this retrofit on my other car but that is different platform...Do not forget I do not have xenon lights there is no control module. So that it will probably not work
as I remember correctly the HBA camera communicates with the light control module...

HBA can work even with H4 headlights. Maybe the only problem could be the instrument cluster, please show us a picture.

One guy has almost finished the external light wiring reconnection to BCM and HBA retrofit on Skoda Rapid (2015 model year last PQ25) . He has Maxidot instrument cluster. HBA works fine.

Nope.
I can't say anything because I need authorization from another user.

The work is on track, but will take time.
