Ordered mid Feb, got my build week in May from the dealer today, but they've said it could change with everything that's going on with the world. App is as informative as ever "with the factory".
The app or on line tracker usually moves from stage 2 (with the factory) to stage 3 (build week confirmed) around four weeks before the car begins to be built. Therefore, assuming the build week your dealer’s given you is the actual confirmed - rather than an indicative - build week, the app should update sometime mid April.
The build week does sometimes change, even after its been confirmed. With world events being what they are, I’d say the chances of this happening is increased compared to a normal, stable period.
Even under normal circumstances, be aware that the app is notorious for being inaccurate or slow to update. There've been forum members who’ve taken delivery of their cars and have had them a few weeks or even months, and the app is still showing their car is in transit to the dealer from the factory. So always treat what the app is showing with a large pinch of salt.

So today is not a good day. My car (GTI+) is currently sat at the dealers ready for my collection, but they are closed. Been told it will now be 15th April earliest before I can collect. That’s just a bloody tease.

Oh that's horrible, I'd go crazy having to wait another 3 weeks knowing it's so close, and already having waited several months. Chin up mate, and try to stay sane

I'm in the same position. It may be worth getting the car registered in March before the tax increase in April.

Does anyone know if the south Africa factory is still open?
My gti+ should have been built over 2 weeks ago but the vw tracker app is still showing it as build week confirmed
My dealer is now closed so I can't check status, anyone have any ideas how I could see what's going on?

I’m sad I know but I went on to the South Africa VW webchat to ask if factory still open as my dealer told me they were also shutting. My car is build week 18 so I was wondering if it would be delayed. I was told that so far factory remains fully operational and no current plans to close. Yesterday I did a webchat with VW who confirmed my build date was definitely set. This morning I had a text from VW telling me my car had moved to stage 3. The app still says with factory

Have you tried VWCS? They may suggest you contact your dealer, but as your dealer isn’t available to speak to, VWCS may be able to help / may be prepared to help and provide you with a status update.

Yes that’s right they will. Unfortunately they too have now a reduced service but worth a webchat.
