Hopefully repairable! Is it in the sidewall or main tread?

I don't know tbh the warning came up so I pulled over to see if it worth getting to the petrol station for air, heard it hissing so went home (luckily only half a mile away) and got my Golf :? Thinking it's a nail possibly as I didn't hit anything?!

Well fingers crossed its repairable. The other favourite for pressure loss sensors is when there is a sudden change of temperature they tend to ping on until you put air in and let some back out to recalibrate them but if you heard it hissing then I guess it's not that :/

Yes, mine does exactly the same. I phoned my local VW dealer who told me to call out the VW breakdown service. I did and the guy said that it is very common but it is not always the same lights on each vehicle. He even showed me that his van does the same. Two lights stayed on but not the same two as on my car. VW breakdown only handle VW group cars - VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda and he said that it happens across the whole range.

Of course, if those lights do not go out when you turn the key to position 2 and start the car then you do have a problem and should contact the dealer immediately.
Something funny going on here, either that or I've had same faults with all my VAG cars - in my experience, that is the way it is!

I'm a guy with a DTUK box. No issues to recall so far aside from the fact the extra power gets killed a lot when you have traction control on. And when it's off you need to be careful as you might find it spinning up in 4th. You can feel a total difference between having the box on and off, it feels like it wants to pull and keep pulling. Brilliant bit of kit. I'm on setting 2 +2.

Hi All,

Just signed up after collecting my car at the weekend! Been following this thread for a while and found lots of useful information!!

Overall really pleased with the GTi. I'll be using it as my daily for work and doing about 600miles every week so it was important to have something quiet & comfortable while still being a bit sporty.

Having come from a remapped Fabia 1.4 TSI, the Polo feels quite down on power but Autotorque are sorting that out for me at the weekend :D

Although VW said that the DSG7 has reduced torque to protect the box, APR seem confident that this will be just fine with their S1 at 288 lb/ft and S2 at 316 lb/ft

I'm going for a conservative remap for now and then probably go for the S2 APR with downpipe in a couple of months.

I only have 2 niggles with the car at the moment.....

1) The 2 buttons by the rev counter (trip reset and menu) seem to be stuck down and will not work at all.... I'll raise this at the first service.

2) I have the Alcantara seats and no matter how hard I press/shove, I cant get the front headrests to go fully down. There's about 3 or 4 inches of the metal prongs visible. It's annoying me as I like them to be snug against the seat. Are they meant to be like this or do I need to shove a bit harder??

Thanks
Gav

Welcome m8, the trip button issue seems quite common on here with a few having similar fault, as for the seats I'm sure someone else with alcantara can answer ur question, . I'll b honest haven't noticed how they are on the standard seats.
