I'm up for a meet as such and don't mind travelling to it.

Not sure about this talk of 'cruising' and F&M and just getting other people (non VAG) to turn up though. It just sounds a bit chav-tastic for my taste.

I'm not a badge snob at all, i've had Vauxhalls and a Fiat but i just get the feeling i would turn up at a meet and be swamped by wee neds with chavved-up fast and furious stylee s**t's.

Think i'd probably give it a miss then. :(

Doesnt have to be like that, We could just make it a VAG meet with or without a Mag.

I dont think it would get to that stage.

I know what your saying though, I wouldnt like to turn up and have folk racing about doing "Hannies" next to my car after spending money on it.

Don't mind gettin a wee convoy on the go and F and M gettin involved... It'll get the word out and hopefully get more folk to come but reckon it's best to keep to VAG's IMO!!!

Yeah guys

I agree that I would be a little put off if the meet was swamped by lots of other modded cars that were non-VW - I'm not a badge snob, honest!!!

Like I said, I can make 2 July anyway in the evening but I think Springfield Quay is probably a better bet than the Cook St car park venue.

Just my opinion and happy to turn up wherever/whatever!

Cheers.

Guy's dont foget it's not set stone - so you wouldnt offend anyone.

The post is to get people intrest , what they want to see, what they think will work...

So far i can see...

Just a VW Meet (Glasgow) - Is it VeeDubs or only POLO's ?
A Scottish Meet somewhere else on another date
Likely to be held in the Springfield Quay
F&M on hold as of yet..to check the approximate numbers

I think we should have a small meet Just Polo's then we can ge to know each other. If theres loads of folk from other forums then People (me) will forget who's who.

My sugestion would be have a small meet somewere in Glasgow just now for anyone from here who is wanting to come or willing to travel if its far. We could do this at the end of July.

Then later possibly August (??) have something a bit more Central for folk who understandably (sp) cant travel to glasgow. This one could be for Just us Polo's or VAG and maybee covered by F&M.

Doing this would also mean more notice for people to goto the Central one.

Thats my 2p worth.

So does that mean the 30th of July then but still at Springfield Quay.

I'm not fussy, any date is fine by me.

Would give more people a chance to make sure they're free for that day.
