on the contrary, it was a bit of useful advice for you - caps are considered SHOUTING in forums, and it's pretty rude to shove caps in all your posts. I see you've managed it in some though. you'll just end up offending and annoying people if you stick with your POINTLESS caps lock attitude.

I've posted over 1,000 posts along with some DIY guides to help fellow polo owners out. I ALSO answered some of your easlier posts about speakers and alarms. hardly (as you describe) nothing useful to say. correct me if I'm wrong.

edit: you can buy the black badges or spray them yourself. they're easy to remove. don't know why I posted a bit of help after your last post though :?:

WELL didnt me 2 frighten ne1 with my caps lock text, but thanks 4 the advice ne help on the best way to go about spraying them, i.e what paint, preperation?

you'd be best off prepping the surface with something like 200 or 400 grit sandpaper, then applying a coat or two of plastic primer, and a coat of whatever paint you fancy as a top coat - I guess matt black will be the best idea, or perhaps satin?

..... a bit of spirit cleaner will degrease the surface before the paint goes on - and even a tack cloth (halfords) might be worth getting - to remove fine bits of dust between coats.

I'VE JUS BOUGHT THE EXACT SAME COLOUR POLO, WAS WONDERIN IS URS PEARLESCENT? ALSO JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY HW MUCH DID U PAY FOR ALARM AND WHAT MAKE
the car is pearlescent yes, has a bluey undertone to it in certain lights. the alarm is a toad one, and was on it when i bought the car. i had bonnet, boot and anti-tilt sensors added in by a mate of mine who's an autoelectrician, iirc it cost me about £100 to upgrade it.

the black badges were bought from GPC, iirc it came to £15 for front and back. i tried doing them myself but it looked tacky and dodgy.

yep - apparently it's a 2 minute job - don't even need to take the door trim off - open the door and unscrew the screw at handle level on the door, then I think it just pops out!
