do you think it would look better or worse touching up such a large area with the vw touch up pen thing? I've never used one on this colour before

I've touched up a larger area on my car, not perfect, but no longer sticks out

Give it a try, you can always remove the paint before it dries if it looks 'wrong'

The touch up set with the brush, good match

hard to do properly, being silver metallic :( going to have it done professionally sometime

the mark on my car is a scrape and has left some marks in the plastic, so needs a bit of filling too :(
