do you think it would look better or worse touching up such a large area with the vw touch up pen thing? I've never used one on this colour before

I've touched up a larger area on my car, not perfect, but no longer sticks out

Give it a try, you can always remove the paint before it dries if it looks 'wrong'

did you use that pen thing or did you use the proper touch up paint?

The touch up set with the brush, good match

hard to do properly, being silver metallic

going to have it done professionally sometime

the mark on my car is a scrape and has left some marks in the plastic, so needs a bit of filling too
