Yeah I got over it in 2 minutes. It actually gives the car a raw, sporty feeling. It sounds awesome as standard over 5k revs. Phoned the old dealer and they said the recall must of been done, as none were showing up on the system for the car.

don't forget u have just come from a brand new mk7 polo with which should have a perfect gearbox and u've gone to a car where the gearbox has had use!
this is the same with the clutch, it becomes stiffer with use!

ps- congrats again on ur purchase!!

Here are some updated pics. Spent the day cleaning the engine bay, wheels and round the doors. Rain came on so the car will be washed and waxed tomorrow. Interior was pretty clean when I got it so it will get done next week.

Another place to check if the recall has been done is, under the carpet on the boot floor on the left hand side there should be a little sticker there.

I phoned this morning and the previous dealer said that it wasn't on the system (meaning it had been done as it shows up if it is outstanding).

White Mk6 is my sisters, the Leon is my neighbours!

I'm wondering what to do with the wheels, whether it is cheaper to refurb the 15's (though one is badly kerbed) and have them powdercoated black (but then that might put people off when I come to sell in a few years), or just buy a new set of 15's or 16's and do it. Whatever is cheapest I'd go with lol

My recall sticker is stuck to my bonnet!! near the catch wont say anymore than a dealers name and a number, thats if its not in the boot well??

Get the wheels refurbed much easier and look awesome if done right!!! Plus then they are custom and no one else has them!!

I never got round to checking this when i bought mine in march, what would it say on the sticker exactly to know if a recall has been done?

It has the dealers name and address as well as the code 30 CI or 30 C1 I'm not too sure what it is.

More goodies arrived today. Popped in by Halfrauds and spent £50 on some cleaning stuff, and came home to find my BMC had arrived

looking good, nice cleaning job on the engine bay.

How about a s2000 aerial to replace the existing, looks much better. And replace those sidelights with some LED one's.

What are your plans for the suspension?
