I highly recommend the KW's I have also - mainly because it hasn't made the car much harsher at all, I haven't taken any sharp corners yet - I am trying to find the limit regarding rubbing and so on - so I'm taking it easy!

I must admit that on very bumpy B-roads I now drive slower!

What do u mean abt the tyres/wheels, ive got new hankook ventus Sport 205/45/16, and I think hes got Proxies 195/45/16..what difference does it make?

tyres make the word of difference - far more than suspension will.

proxies are very sticky but wear out quickly. I admit, in the dry it'll be less of a difference but tyres will help no end. as will the profile.

i was (still am till Tuesday) slammed on EVO coilovers. and also on pro race 1.2 (205/40/17) wheels on Khumo Sport tyres (b4 was on Toyo's) and oh my gosh that car grips well! no body roll around corners. i out handle my m8s Saxo VTS round corners, he also says it handles better (hes drivin it himself)... awsome setup illd recomend for anyone... just hope the new car handles as well!

we shall have a 3 way competition one day .. on a private course obviously

yeah wheels do make a difference, my 14s handle like a boat compared to 18s (lower profile, less flex in tyre wall)

and kumho's are s**t gripping tyres, so theres more to come
i my mate owns an evo8 and drove one the lads gti's and that was on spax coils i think and he claimed it was on par with his car round bends, if not better

I've only seen 1 in Bedford with a Votex kit.

As said, it's popular on here because everyone likes Polo's, are from all over the country and likes the votex kit

Iv never seen a Polo with a Votex in the East Midlands anywhere and I travel around the areas a lot.

I'm considering getting a set of Eibach coilovers for my 9n. If I bought a set, would that contain everything I would need to upgrade my current sports suspension?? Sorry for the n00bish question!

yeah it will contain all you need


how low is it sensible to go on coilovers as the 1.9 TDi engine seems to sit very low and the sump/plastic undertray thing is already quite close to the ground?

1) Yes it's low, but I have no problems at about 60mm.
2) Speed bumps are ok too
3) Coilovers contain the whole works
4) Buy my brand new FKs for sale

Are you running V1's or V2's mate

I'm on the V1s - quite a soft ride actually!

if you want massive cornering speeds perhaps the harder FKs are better, but I love the V1s.
