i took the transponder chip out of the other key and just put it in the new key fob, aslong as its inside the fob at the point nearest the ignition the car will start.
i will get a copy of the wiring. i know h4ris said to me he wired his into the some where under the dash, sounds a bit complicated for me. Mine is in the boot connected onto the central locking pump which is on the right hand side of the boot in that little storage space above the wheel arch.

you have a button for the boot does that do anything?.. might have to try this.. if yours is okay and went without too many problems then it must be okay..
but a guide would be a great help to be honest.. lol

you can get a boot solenoid kit to pop your boot open, there are a couple of wires that come off the reciever unit that let you do this. they cost like £15 from ebay
I will do a guide for this i think. i did muck mine up a bit when i started and asoon as i got it working the EPC light came up on my dash, which i havent got rid off yet, but i think thats because i did connect the earth cable to the wrong point.
i will write a guide in the next week or so

got this from another forum...
if it's the EPC light by far the likeliest fault is the brake switch. And it's lovely and easy to diagnose - press the brake pedal and get a mate to tell you if the brake lights are coming on.
Other possibilities include clutch switch and some other more unlikely stuff, but you'd really need to know the fault code to diagnose them. Brake switch is the common failure point.
think i might wait for the PD Guide to be released..

think i might wait for the PD Guide to be released..

brake lights work, i checked that as soon as it came on. i think its slightly suspect that it came on after i got the remote locking kit wired up. So i am sure its a electrical fault.

ah nice one h4ris beat me to it.
but i think for people who have no idea what they are doing, connecting it to the central locking pump in the boot is easier and less fiddly and if you want to connect a boot solenoid to pop the boot you can easily do it because the unit is in a good location for this where as if it is in the front under the dash then you would have to run cables to the boot which would be fun!
probably not much point me doing a guide now though, unless some one wants it.

Yeah PD please do one.. then there are 2 ways to wire this unit up.. plus also i will probably go for your way if its easier..
the only thing is from wiring in the boot how to do connect the wires to the windows i know you need some kind of relay but wont you have to run a wire to the front of the car?
..
as i will want the whole kit'n'cabuddle..
and if i can get the boot to open also excellent.!!

For the windows to work you need to get an SPDT relay and wire it up between the green wire from the control unit and the lock wire on the car yellow/white like this (first diagram on the page converting from negative to positive) The green wire from the control unit = negative trigger and yellow/white on the car needs to be connected to the 12v + output

the way i have done it really is just the same as h4ris's. it connects to the same loom just in a different place.
only problem is you will just need to extend one of the wires to reach the indicator wire on the other side, so you can just copy what h4ris has written and just apply it to the boot.
