Cool, looking forward to seeing these when they're refurbished 8)

I'm thinking hard about what colour to get the spokes done in. I'm definitely getting the face diamond-cut. I'm thinking of an anthracite/grey-ish colour. I'm thinking of getting the grey in a VAG colour, instead of a generic metallic grey. The choices are currently between:

VW Pearl Grey- http://www.cybertects.co.uk/scirocco/pa ... ?code=LA7U.

VW Storm Grey (as seen on some 6N's)

Are there any other nice metallic greys out there?

Well, I sent the wheels off this morning. I decided that it's better to have them done in anthracite. The only thing I'm disappointed with is that the brakes look lost with these wheels on. I'm definitely thinking of a 280mm brake conversion in the near future.

Next mod: lower strut brace ;)

No idea

Seriously, I'll ask my Dad later, I think they went off with about 11 other sets of wheels.

It may be a while till you see the car properly (September-ish), since I'm not *properly* insured on the car. I have company insurance, but that only covers me up to 1600cc for personal use, and I'm covered for most cars under business use. I could always say I was delivering something if I crash on the way to Bluewater ;)

Böllocks

The wheels didn't go off to Spit and Polish today, as two of the wheels are buckled, they're properly Fubared.

So, the wheel hunt begins...again

ahh man, that sucks! they would have looked so good too! can you get hold of another pair?

how buckled were they exactly? i've got a buckled wheel on the vento, but don't get any feedback from it!

He said they're a bit oval , Dad said they'd be able to be bashed out with a hammer, I declined though (I'm not a fan of bodge jobs, haha). I reckon the wheels are quite rare though, it seems there are none available on German ebay, or any other ones really.

I've got another set of wheels lined up, but it'll be a while till I get the money for them though.

The weather was lovely today, so I gave it a wash and wax!

Started the morning by pre-washing the car with the Superspray (loaded with an inch of Swarfega Vehicle Cleaner, topped with warm water). It worked much better than the Hosecoil I had, and the Superspray cost only £9; bargain! Available from http://www.superspray.net.

Left the foam to dwell for 5 minutes or so.

Then I washed it using Duragloss 901 CWC and a Serious Performance mitt. Dried using my massive microfibre towel and last touch as a drying aid. As Gordon Ramsay would say...DONE.

Image

I proceeded to polishing using Autoglym SRP and waxed using Chemical Guys 50/50 connoisseur carnauba wax. Then I finished off by wiping over with some Meguiar's UQD.

Mmm, the reflection is good. And I love the way Tornado Red comes up with some work. Then I took it for a photo shoot:

Hehe, it's all good when it's all polished and waxed; then disaster strikes and your lovely Tornado Red turns to Tornado Pink

I've got a few more plans regarding the rocco. I'm definitely getting shot of the fog lights. They look like an afterthought and make the front end of the car uglier than it already is.

I found Remus do a nice exhaust for the Rocco. I will have to get on the blower to Elite soon.

I'm pretty much decided on what wheels I'm getting. It's either between these and these. Damn, decisions, decisions

I reckon they have to be done. The Rota's are trying too hard to look like splitties. Also they're Jap fitment, so the centre bore may be too small for them.
