Red wire - connect this to yellow/red ie Battery +

Orange - dont worry

Blue - dont worry

PC power cable goes to the MB as does reset cable. Light switch id say not a problem aswell as phone and reversing light. They are there if you need them, but your setup isnt going to be using reversing cameras or a handsfree kit par example.

Hi,
Sorry I havent posted for so long, but ive just started uni and dont have internet in the house yet  .

Did you get the following screen;

http://linitx.com/viewproduct.php?prodid=11155

Is it good quality and would you recommend the company? If so then I will order one today as im getting a bit impatient!

Have any of you started looking at the PC components which you will use yet? Ive decided to build my own now rather than using a laptop as it should be more powerfull (and probabley cheaper in the long run).

Nick

nickm yep thats the screen i ordered definalty reconmend the company. i havent actlly installed the screen yet still working on the wiring at the mo, abit of a pain in the backside but it does look to be a good quality screen specs of the actual comp havent really thought about in deatil but most of the porducts will be coming from meshcomputers.com which build comps to you own specs and they do sell a micro atx board which is an upfor me. will ost again if there are many more updates.

ooh while i'm here the screen doesnt seem to start up i've connected all the speaker wiring and i've conected both gorund wires togther and did what alex told me to do which was connect the 2 battery+ (yellow) wires from the iso block with the igniton wire(red) and then connect it to the battery+ (yellow)from the headunit/screen. but it doesnt seem to start up. i foned alex earlyier on and he said something about the iso block from the car and one of those wries :? also tried googleing it hasn't come up with anything i need.. any help??

picture of the bit alex told me to wire. i think thats right :?

There is a picture - your looking at connector B. Wires for power are pins 4 and 7. 4 being permanent live, and 7 being switched live.

Can you take a pic of the wiring coming out of the HU with nothing plugged in - or is it in an instruction manual etc that I can see?

green is ground (-) green black is live (+) Grey is permanent 12V but you dont really need to worry bout that

Ill be able to tell you more when i can see the instructions :)

Also, when you know the correct config, id recommend either crimping the joints or soldering and heatshrinking them to make it a safer connection - sugarcubes (or terminal block connectors) arent ideal for car electrics :)

Green ground (iso) to black (on radio)

Green black positive (iso) to yellow (on radio)

Itll therefore power up :)

If you wish, you can also connect grey (iso) to yellow (on radio)

this has totally confused me now  on the actual iso block labled on the
green wire it has:
rear left speaker+
and so on with the rest of the wires.

:?

ignore that - its old wiring by the sounds of it. The speakers connect to ISO connector A. All power wiring, and all that goes to B. What does it say grey does?
