Well 2 days ago noticed small brown paint kinda spatters on bodywork, no idea how they got there but really messed with my head.

Yesterday went my local car wash and told em to leave the acid cleaner on the rims AS USUAL. Foobarin twit sprayed it on whilst im talkimg to him and now I got acid marks all over the rim. Tried my usual Dr Powder then Autosol buffed but no difference  Now the polished rim looks gash cos see spatter marks on them too now

Never trust car washers, whether it be machine or hand based. As I been both and I noticed they leave minor scratch marks on the body. Where the standard paintwork was and where body repair was done and this is much later after the paint had tried and settled, about two months later. Would it be worth complaining to them about it for compensation? By the sounds of it your rims will need a respray either a DIY way by yourself or a refurb specialist.

Gotta love bastards, like I left my car for just over an hour next to a brand new Astra in Bluewater come back to find a door dent, I'm 100% sure it was that Astra from where it was parked and I was parked looked like a perfect match, now more repairs to the list which I don't have money for :(

I give up

Washing by hand does could leave scratches and the more swirl marks but could happen even if do it yourself why these days they give the car a water before scrubbing whereas they never used to. Always trusted them cos they know when go in there but the twit there never knew. Regardless he shouldn't of continued whilst i'm explaining something which is the bigger point; and to think the manager in the past always says to use it, "we use special non acidic cleaners".

A fellow dubber said to use Brasso then clean off with Belgum Alu so i'll give that a go.
