i hate to go against almost everyone on here, and my vote doesnt really count as ive never even touched, let alone had a ride in a polo gti, but my mums got a golf gttdi 150, and its a fookin beast. do you know another car in which you can do 90 at 1,500 rpm? such a sweet engine, and the car looks good too.

Certainly a great car, but take a ride in a Polo GTi and you'll understand where were coming fromrandomage wrote:i hate to go against almost everyone on here, and my vote doesnt really count as ive never even touched, let alone had a ride in a polo gti, but my mums got a golf gttdi 150, and its a fookin beast. do you know another car in which you can do 90 at 1,500 rpm? such a sweet engine, and the car looks good too.

I ve gone from my polo gti to a golf running about 209bhp, revo ,fmic etc the rest standard(wheels body and ride height) I have to say the polo feels faster to start poss due to turbo lag on the golf but after that the golf just tramps it . The polo at the min out handles the golf, that could be due to the collies but I think is could be down to being a bit like a go-cart, the golf is a lot faster in straight line, but you dont get the looks etc in the golf due to I believe there being so many golf's with wheels on etc, but then I dont seem to get the road rage I did in the polo, people thinking young boy racer etc, jealous I guess, but then the pologti's do have gearbox problems, and the golf has others, so that sort of weights out the same,
maybe best of both, and the noise of that turbo
6n2 1.8t polo with 6 speed lsd,
with ko4 or bigger
but then would it still handle the same etc,
